Are you affiliated with any denomination?

Fresh Encounter Church is a non-denominational church. This means that we are a fully independent church with no affiliations or ties to any particular organization or denomination.

What should I wear?

Fresh Encounter Church is a "come as you are" church. Here, there is no judgment. At any given time, you'll see a wide variety of clothing choices - from jeans and t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops, to dresses, suits, and ties. However you choose to come, we believe the most important part, is that you just show up.

What about my kids?

Every week, we offer classes for preschoolers through high school students. You are more than welcome to walk your kids to their rooms, or just let them join the crowd as they go with their leaders. We also have a nursery right next to our worship room that streams our service live. So, if you need to step out of the service with your child, you can still enjoy the service. Above all, we want you to know that we are kid-friendly at Fresh Encounter! We know it's hard for children to sit still and be quiet, so we've created a space that gives you the flexibility to meet your kids needs, whether that's sitting at a table or stretching their legs in the hall.

What about money?

We don't "pass the plate". Instead, we offer other ways to give, like online giving, and offering boxes located at the doors of our Worship Center. We trust God completely for our finances and believe that those who are willing to give their tithes and offerings, do so from the heart, not out of pressure or guilt.

What's the music like?

The music portion of our Sunday Encounter is live, energetic, and eclectic. You may hear some of your favorite Christian songs from the radio, or hear an old favorite. No matter if you know the song or not, no need to fear. We have screens with the lyrics projected on them for you to follow along. We believe that worship is a lifestyle, not a concert on Sunday morning. Instead Our worship team strives to lead us into an attitude of worship to experience the presence of God.

What about communion?

Communion, is the simple act of remembering what Christ did for us through partaking in the Lord's Supper, and for that reason, becomes sacred. God's Word says in 1 Corinthians that "as often as you do this, do it in remembrance of Me.", So we choose to do communion here weekley. If you've made Christ the Lord of your life, we invite you to join us in communion as well.

What about baptism?

The act of being baptized does not save you, for we are saved by grace through faith in Christ alone. A baptism is simply an outward act of an inward change. We believe in full immersion water baptism and hold baptism services as often as needed. Even if you were baptized as a child, you can choose to be baptized as an adult. We believe that it is a personal choice and a defining moment in your walk with Christ that declares publically what He has done and continues to do in your life.
