Youth at Fresh Encounter Church
Growing together in faith and community.
Fresh Encounter Church, we believe the middle and high school years are a crucial time for spiritual development. Our youth ministry creates a welcoming environment where students can build authentic relationships, dive deeper into God's Word, and discover how their faith applies to everyday life. We strive to provide both fun fellowship and meaningful discipleship opportunities that help young people grow into mature followers of Christ.
Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." - 1 Timothy 4:12
Wednesday Nights at FEC: Youth Group
Faith, fellowship, and fun every Wednesday night. Our Youth Group is an integral part of Wednesday Nights at FEC, our midweek program for the whole family. While younger children attend AWANA and adults participate in Bible study, students in 6th-12th grade connect with each other and with God in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Our Wednesday Night Flow:
- 5:30 pm: Freewill Offering Dinner for the entire family
- 6:15 pm: All programs begin simultaneously - Youth Group meets in the Youth Room (featuring comfortable couch-style seating and games), AWANA Clubs start for younger children, and Adult Bible Study begins
- 7:30 pm: Official program ends, with optional fellowship time afterward in the game room

What to Expect:
Our Youth Group follows a consistent format each week:
- Games & Activities: We start with a variety of fun games and activities that help build relationships and create an engaging atmosphere. Games vary each week and might be held indoors or outdoors depending on the weather.
- Bible Study: Students dive into Scripture together with our adult leaders, who guide discussions about how God's Word applies to everyday life. Our approach focuses on reading the Bible directly and discussing its meaning.
- Fellowship: After the official program ends, many students choose to stay for additional hangout time in the game room, enjoying foosball, basketball, and casual conversation.

Sunday Morning Service Opportunities
Growing through serving. We believe that young people don't just need to be ministered to—they need opportunities to minister to others. On Sunday mornings, we encourage our middle and high school students to be actively involved in the life of the church through various service opportunities:
- Assisting in the nursery or children's classes (Basecamp and Trailblazers)
- Helping with welcome and hospitality (greeting, welcome desk, or donut/coffee setup)
- Participating in worship service elements (communion preparation, tech booth assistance)
- Joining the worship team (for those with musical abilities)
These service opportunities allow our students to discover their gifts, develop leadership skills, and experience the joy of contributing to the body of Christ.

- Quarterly Multi-Church Youth Nights: Three times per year, our youth group joins with students from other local churches for special gatherings featuring worship, teaching, games, and food. These collaborative events help students build relationships beyond our church walls.
- Holiday Celebrations: Special gatherings like our Christmas Party featuring games, movies, snacks, and fellowship.
- Kickoff Events: At the beginning of the school year, we host special youth nights focused on games, activities, and fellowship to welcome new students.
- Church-Wide Events with Youth Participation: Students participate in various all-church events throughout the year, including Fellowship Encounter on the Green (with bounce houses, bonfires, s'mores, and camping), Men's Tailgate (open to male students), and other seasonal activities that bring all generations together.
These events provide our students with opportunities to deepen their faith while building lasting friendships with peers and mentors.
